The University of Pittsburgh and the newly established Center for Simulation and Modeling invite applications for a Research Assistant Professor position. This position is outside the tenure stream. Major responsibilities include playing a leadership role in the new Center, assisting students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty in optimizing software for high performance computer systems, and in exploiting state-of-the-art hardware for demanding computational applications.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics, Computer Science, the Sciences, or Engineering, and have experience with developing applications for high performance computing. Experience with LINUX and MPI is essential. Applicants should send:
