Now Hiring: Research Assistant Professor with Computer Science Background

The University of Pittsburgh and the Center for Simulation and Modeling (SaM) invite applications for a Research Assistant Professor position outside the tenure stream. The Center for Simulation and Modeling is dedicated to supporting and facilitating computational-based research across the University of Pittsburgh campus. SaM serves as a catalyst for multidisciplinary collaborations, education, and outreach and provides consultation and research collaboration to faculty and students in a wide range of disciplines. Major responsibilities include playing a leadership role in the Center, assisting students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty in effectively utilizing our high performance computer systems, and exploiting state-of-the-art hardware with a particular focus on GPGPU and Xeon Phi accelerator technologies. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in computer science, or a related discipline with relevant experience in software development.
